Kutcharo Lake Festival
A popular fireworks display over the lake! A summer tradition in Hamatonbetsu
Held at Kuccharo Lake in Hamatonbetsu. In addition to stage performances and attractions, the popular fireworks display lights up the night sky. Stage performances include Hamatonbetsu Taiko drumming, and there are exciting attractions such as a lottery and a log-rolling race on water with fantastic prizes. Many food stalls featuring local specialties such as grilled scallops and scallop rice are also planned. The most popular event is the fireworks display, where about 700 fireworks, including staged fireworks on the lake, illuminate the night sky.
