Warm, Japanese-style lantern light illuminates the traditional streets, while glowing lanterns line the slopes once frequented by inn attendants and geishas. The cool mountain breeze adds to the relaxing atmosphere of an evening walk.
One of the highlights is Jozan Onsen Park, where around 200 lanterns create a breathtaking display of light. Visitors can relax in a footbath fed by natural hot spring water while enjoying the softly flickering lanterns.
