Fukidashi Park is a lush destination at the foot of Mt. Yotei, renowned for one of Japan’s highest spring discharge rates. In 1985, its exceptional purity earned recognition as one of the Top 100 Waters of Japan.

The journey of this water begins high on Mt. Yotei as snow and rainfall, slowly filtering through volcanic rock over decades. Through this natural process, the water is purified before emerging in a constant flow. Maintained at approximately 6.5°C (43.7°F) year-round, the spring delivers an instantly refreshing sensation. Its crisp coolness washes over your fingertips, while the sound of flowing water echoes through the forest and the clean air soothes both mind and body.

Within the park is Michi-no-Eki Meisui-no-Sato Kyogoku, where visitors can enjoy coffee brewed with the spring water or sample local sake made from this prized source. Nearby, Kyogoku Onsen offers open-air baths with views of Mt. Yotei’s impressive ridgeline. Campgrounds and park golf courses further enhance the area, making it an ideal place for a relaxing day in nature.
