Japan's only reindeer tourism ranch, home to about 45 reindeer from Finland.
In the spacious ranch, about 45 second and third-generation reindeer descended from those brought from Finland live freely. The reindeer, characterized by their brown coats with white spotted patterns, gently graze while swaying their large antlers, warmly welcoming visitors. Santa Claus costumes are available at the management building, and walking around the grounds dressed in red makes you feel like a real Santa. When you hold feed in your hand, the reindeer approach and eat while gazing at you with gentle eyes, their soft noses touching your palm in an endearing way. Taking photos together creates special memories as if you've wandered into a Nordic fairy tale world.
From May to June is the season when baby reindeer are born. Their small bodies wobbling as they walk close to their mothers warm the hearts of visitors. Staff-guided tours are also offered in the grounds, where you can learn in detail about reindeer ecology and breeding.
