Nestled on a 85-meter-high hill, Tenjinyama Park offers sweeping views of the Sapporo cityscape. This lush green space is a beloved retreat where plum blossoms and double cherry blossoms herald the arrival of spring. The park’s crown jewel, however, is the "Tenjin Wisteria," which reaches its peak from late May to early June. This historic tree began as a humble bonsai brought by early pioneers during the Meiji era and has since flourished into a natural monument of remarkable scale.

The wisteria trellis spans about 25 meters square, creating an awe-inspiring purple ceiling.
