Shujitsu Hill is a scenic viewpoint near Asahikawa Airport, known for its wide-open landscapes that capture the spirit of Hokkaido. From the hilltop, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the Daisetsuzan and Tokachidake mountain ranges. In the foreground, the cityscapes of Asahikawa and Biei blend into vast farmland that spreads across the landscape like gentle green waves. On clear days, distant ridgelines stand out sharply against the deep blue sky and vibrant fields below.

The journey to the hill is part of the experience. A narrow country road with dramatic ups and downs—often called a “roller coaster road”—winds through the rolling countryside.
