Known as one of the "Three Great Energy Spots of Biei"—places believed to be rich in positive spiritual energy— alongside the Shirogane Blue Pond and Shirahige Waterfall, it continues to be a place of deep spiritual significance for locals and visitors alike. As you wander through the peaceful atmosphere, look closely at the intricate traditional decorations adorning the shrine buildings. You will find many hidden "Inome" patterns—ancient Japanese motifs that resemble hearts. It is said that finding them all will bless you with improved luck in love and relationships.

For a unique memento of your journey, visit the shrine office to find the "Oka-mamori" (Hill Amulet). These popular charms feature exquisite embroidery depicting Biei’s iconic rolling hills and patchwork roads. You can also receive a beautiful "Goshuin" (shrine seal) artwork that captures the town’s seasonal landscapes. If you visit on 25 July, you can witness the powerful "Nachi-Biei Fire Festival," where massive torches blaze through the night, illuminating the darkness in a spectacular display of tradition and spirit.
