Every spring, this beautiful park of tulips fills with hundreds of visitors from near and far. Those that venture out to Kamiyubetsu Tulip Park gather in order to see the nearly 200 varieties of tulips that grow in the park’s gardens. Even rare species, imported all the way from the Netherlands, sway in the breeze as patrons enjoy the atmosphere and beautiful scenery. The best time to see the colorful blooms is from mid to late May. The Dutch windmill situated in the middle of the property has an observation deck from which visitors can easily take in the beauty of the entire 70,000 square meter park.
