Embark on a journey into the open waters off Muroran, where encounters with wild marine life await from spring through summer. This popular cruise offers the chance to experience dolphins and whales thriving in their natural habitat.

The coastal waters of Muroran are known as a prime wildlife observation area, home to a wide variety of marine species. During the season, you may encounter up to 18 species, including dolphins, whales, and northern fur seals.

Highlights include curious minke whales swimming close to the boat, sometimes appearing to observe the passengers. You may also witness breathtaking pods of 500 to 1,000 Dall’s porpoises racing across the surface. If you’re lucky, orcas—the largest members of the dolphin family—may also make an appearance.

Tours operate from June to mid-August and conclude once the dolphins migrate away from the area. Because sightings depend on water temperature and weather conditions, the best viewing period varies each year.
