Located on a 295-meter hill, this nature-rich park offers a panoramic escape. From its elevated vantage point overlooking the Ishikari Plain, you can immerse yourself in the majestic, ever-changing beauty of Hokkaido’s seasons.

Situated on the northwestern edge of the Kitoushi Mountains, east of central Asahikawa, the southern slopes of Mt. Asahiyama breathe with vibrant life. In spring, about 1,000 cherry trees line the paths, their sweet fragrance wafting on the breeze. As you stand in the observation area, you’ll feel the refreshing wind on your face while gazing at the vast landscape below. The park has a long history, with its origins dating back to 1898.
