Set along the Nemuro Strait near picturesque Odaito Fishing Port, Odaito Hot Spring offers sweeping views of the Notsuke Peninsula and, on clear days, distant Kunashiri Island from its open-air baths. In summer, traditional Utase boats with white sails glide across the sea during the Hokkai shrimp fishing season. In winter, visitors may witness the rare "Square Sun" rising above the frozen horizon or see graceful whooper swans. The ever-changing coastal scenery and refreshing sea breeze create a peaceful escape.

The area's chloride-rich hot spring water, locally known as Netsu no Yu ("the warming spring"), is prized for its excellent heat-retaining properties. Its silky waters leave the body comfortably warm long after bathing.
