This unique museum, managed by the community, honors the life and works of Miura Ayako, an iconic author deeply rooted in Asahikawa. It is surrounded by the vast 15-hectare Foreign Tree Species Sample Forest, where towering giants like the Eastern White Pine reach toward the sky in peaceful silence. One of the highlights is the restored “Oral Dictation Study,” relocated to the museum annex, where Miura dictated her works due to illness. Here, you can feel both the intensity and the warmth of the space where she created her timeless stories with the help of her husband.
