Iwamizawa Park Rose Garden is one of the largest rose gardens in Hokkaido, covering about 40,000 square meters. This serene retreat offers visitors a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, with vibrant colors and elegant floral scents.

The garden is home to around 8,800 rose bushes across 630 varieties, including Hamanasu roses native to Hokkaido. These blooms are in season from early summer through autumn. As you stroll along the pathways, you’ll be surrounded by layers of colorful blossoms and the gentle, sweet fragrance of roses drifting through the air. The garden is carefully maintained using environmentally friendly cultivation methods, enhancing its natural beauty.

Within the park, you’ll also find the indoor botanical garden, Shikisai-kan, where lush greenery and seasonal flowers can be enjoyed year-round, regardless of the weather. In spring, climbing roses reaching up to 4 meters high fill the space with vivid color, creating a magical atmosphere. Beyond the floral displays, the park features a variety of attractions—including a campground, a petting zoo, and a park golf course—making it an ideal destination for a relaxing day surrounded by nature.
