Spectacular view point of plum blossoms and cherry blossoms
Sobetsu Park, which boasts an area of about 86,000 square meters, is famous for its ume plum blossoms. About 300 Bungo ume (Japanese apricot) trees are in full bloom from mid-May every year. It is also known as a place where cherry blossoms are also in bloom and where you can enjoy both plum blossoms and cherry blossoms at the same time.
This is one of the best viewpoints around Lake Toya from which you can see not only Lake Toya, but also Mt. Yoteizan.
