Lake Shikotsu Visitor Center (Lake Shikotsu Information Center) is a facility located on the shores of Lake Shikotsu in Chitose City that introduces the natural environment and history of the area. Under the theme “To the Woods, the Mountains, and the Lake: Another Journey into Lake Shikotsu,” the center features exhibits on the local natural environment.
In the “World of the Lake,” visitors can observe Kokanee salmon in an aquarium and see models of the lakebed terrain and columnar joints.
