An observatory on Shirotai Ranch at 550 meters above sea level, overlooking Mt. Komagatake and Ono Plain, and at night enjoying Hakodate's back night view called "Seven Star Night View."

At Shirotai Ranch spreading on a plateau at 550 meters above sea level, grazing cattle leisurely eat grass, and a pastoral landscape spreads. From the observatory, you can overlook the panorama of the majestic Mt. Komagatake, Mt. Hakodate floating in the distance, and Ono Plain spreading below, experiencing the expanse of Hokkaido's land. Under the blue sky during the day, green pastures and cattle create a calm landscape typical of ranches. At night, the scenery changes completely, and the street lights of Hakodate City shine like scattered jewels, and the beautiful back night view praised as "Seven Star Night View" emerges in the darkness.

Shirotai Skyline passing through the ranch is a winding road connecting central Nanae Town and the Onuma area. In early summer, vivid fresh greenery colors the roadside, in autumn, flaming autumn leaves dye the mountain surface, showing different expressions in each season. If you park your car at the parking lot near the summit after passing through the foot of Mt. Nanae-dake, you can monopolize the spectacular view spreading below while enveloped in cold, clear air that makes you feel the high altitude and mountain scent.
