Nestled in a quiet, leafy setting in central Sapporo, the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art offers a refreshing sense of calm. The museum’s collection includes more than 5,000 works, including pieces by Hokkaido-connected masters such as Kataoka Tamako, Iwahashi Eien, Kida Kinjiro, and Kanda Nissho. Their works reflect the rich landscape and artistic spirit of the region.

One of the museum’s highlights is its internationally acclaimed glass art collection.
