The indoor bath area features a variety of tubs, including rock baths and bubble baths. In the open-air baths, you can soak in 100% pure spring water while gazing at the magnificent ridges of Mt. Tokachi rising right before your eyes. During the winter, the "snow dive"—jumping into the fresh snow after a hot sauna session—is a popular and uniquely local experience.

For those seeking even more adventure, a five-minute walk from Hakuginso along a trail through the primeval forest leads to the Fukiage Open-air Bath. Famous as a filming location for Japanese TV dramas, this mixed-gender open-air bath gushes hot water directly from the rocky mountainside, offering a profound sense of freedom as you become one with nature. Please note that there are no changing rooms at this natural site. We recommend that women wear swimwear or wrap themselves in a towel. The clear, colorless gypsum-salt spring water feels smooth on the skin, allowing you to enjoy the hot spring to your heart's content while surrounded by the ever-changing colors of the forest.
